Book a commission.
It all begins with your idea. Art has the ability to instill beauty into all our lives, and that is what I will do for your commission.
1. Start planning
Communication between myself and you is crucial. Don’t hold back your ideas. Give them to me is dot points or sentences, perhaps even a paragraph. We will begin a dialogue about how your work will look and feel.
2. Sketch
I will begin sketching to try and formalise your thoughts into imagery. We will move through a number of sketches that I believe will best translate your idea. By the end of this process, the final draft will be composed.
3. Final Peice
Upon acceptance of the final draft, I will begin to create your dream work. Considering scale and technicality, and as discussed prior, the work will be complete in its due time.
-
Generally, I do not frame commissioned work. This is because each client is unique with respect to their interior design, the likes of which will fall to the client and their personal preference.
However, it is possible to frame a clients work if it is of basic design and structure. This will add time to the overall duration of the commission as well as increase the price of each piece.
-
Each commission demands its own time frame. Generally, a three week turn around for the entire process. 1 week to choose and refine the draft, with two weeks working time for a standard piece sitting around A3 size. Smaller scale works may be completed at a shorter rate, whereas larger scale works will surpass a two week guideline.
I will clearly state the length it may take to complete your commission on acceptance of the final draft. I will also keep you closely informed with the progress of the work to meet your satisfaction.
-
I do not charge an hourly rate. The cost of the work will be based off technicality and scale. These two factors will determine the duration of piece which is the deciding factor that contributes to the cost.
-
The size of paper has a starting cost rising from A5 and rising to A1.
A5 = $150. A4 = $200. A3 = $250. A2 = $320. A1 = $400.
The price will increase if the work will take considerably long to create based of technicality and materials.
-
I practice in different mediums, yet my strongest forms are graphite drawings and printmaking. I am able to achieve a satisfactory level of each for the client.
